Time is about to run out on the 10 percent price break for the Taste of Cambridge event coming June 17, which offers endless samples from city restaurants. A half-dozen more eateries, bars and adult beverage brands have signed on in the past month.
Early bird pricing ends Friday for the 21st celebration of the local food scene that raises money for nonprofits – this year, Bridges Homeward, a 150-year-old institution with foster care and developmental-disabilities support programs; Transition House, which supports victims of domestic violence; and the Barron Educational Scholarship for Cambridge high school seniors.
Since its founding, The Cambridge Taste has contributed nearly $350,000 to local organizations, said organizers at the Cambridge Licensee Advisory Board.
But the good done by the Taste of Cambridge just adds flavor to the food, which this year comes from businesses such as Barcelona Wine Bar, Boston Burger Co., Caffe Nero, Cambridge Common, Cambridge Culinary, Caymus, C-side Bar, CSCA Cafe, Fuji at Kendall, Gato Exotico, Good Peels, Grafton Street, Hourly Oyster, Iggy’s Bread, McCarthy’s and Toad, Mestizo, Naya, Nirvana Taste of India, Nubar, Paperback Tavern, Patco Brands, Roxy’s Arcade, Russell House, Scull and Keel, State Park, Sumiao Hunan Kitchen, Surfside, Veggie Galaxy, Surfside and Wusong Road.
Also on the menu are dishes from Gufo, Atomic Black and Mamaleh’s – restaurants that are also serving at the 28th edition of the Taste of Somerville, which sets up 10 days earlier than Cambridge.
