Ward 1 Slice of the City
Community meeting, 5 to 7 p.m. May 11. These drop-in style meet-ups at green spaces take place annually in each of the city’s wards. The mayor, city staff and city councilors mingle with residents and share some pizza. At Chuckie Harris Park, 15 Cross St. E, East Somerville.
Remaking 90 Washington St.
City Council, 7 p.m. Monday. Members call a closed-door session to consider endorsing Wood Partners and North River Leerink as finalists in the process to remake Somerville’s 4 acres at 90 Washington St., Inner Belt. Parking permit, meter fee rise
Traffic Commission, 5 p.m. Thursday. Mayor Jake Wilson asks for increases in permit and meter fees “due to rising administrative, maintenance and operational costs [to] ensure program sustainability and maintain effective parking management.” Watchable by Zoom videoconferencing.
