The stop at the Route 83 bus turnaround at Russell Field had shattered glass from an Oct. 6 shooting that has since been repaired.

The arrest and arraignment of a Cambridge teen took place Tuesday in relation to a shooting in North Cambridge on Oct. 6, police said Wednesday.

Officials said Jayven McNealy, 19, was arrested after police executed a search warrant at around 6 a.m. Tuesday and was arraigned in Cambridge District Court on multiple charges, including armed assault to murder; aggravated assault and battery with a dangerous weapon; and carrying a firearm without a license. He is expected back in court Friday.

In Cambridge’s fifth gunfire incident of the year, shots were heard at approximately 3:20 p.m. Tuesday on Rindge Avenue across from Comeau Field in North Cambridge, according to scanner reports. “Multiple 911 calls [were] reporting gunshots around Russell Field,” police said, as well as there being a gunshot victim.

A victim was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston while police searched the area for a person with a gun.

An investigation, including witness interviews and review of video recovered from the area, revealed that McNealy fired multiple rounds from the sidewalk across from the Route 83 bus turnaround at Russell Field near Alewife Station, striking the victim, identified as a 47-year-old Cambridge man, and a vehicle parked in the area, then fled, according to authorities.

“This shooting, which occurred in the middle of the afternoon in a busy area of Cambridge, near Alewife Station, not only injured the victim but put numerous other members of the community at risk. This type of reckless gun violence cannot be normalized or tolerated,” Middlesex district attorney Marian Ryan in a statement made with acting Cambridge police commissioner Pauline Wells.

The full set of charges is armed assault to murder; assault and battery with a firearm causing serious bodily injury; assault and battery with a firearm; attempted assault and battery with a firearm; discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a dwelling; carrying a firearm without a license; carrying a loaded firearm without a license; and two counts of destruction of property over $1,200.
