Funding the next fiscal year
City Council Finance Committee, 6 p.m. Tuesday. This committee run by city councilor Ben Wheeler addresses an appropriation of $376.8 million for the general fund operating budget of the 2027 fiscal year starting July 1 and ancillary budget-season appropriations big and small for a variety of purposes, from $26.7 million for water systems and $55.6 million for sewers to $86,200 for Dilboy Fields. Ward 2 Slice of the City
Community meeting, 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday. These drop-in style meet-ups at green spaces take place annually in each of the city’s wards. The mayor, city staff and city councilors mingle with residents and share some pizza. At Lincoln Park at the Albert F. Argenziano School, 290 Washington St. , Ward 2, Somerville.
