Aside for the loss of one of the few pharmacies in the area, what is particularly striking to this neighbor in the report about 1740 Massachusetts Ave. (“Planning Board members love a 1740 Mass. Ave. project, its mural idea and learning how to say ‘Linnaean,’” May 12) is that neither the mural-loving, cheerleading Planning Board members nor the text of the article discusses the reasons why the developer fails to offer resident parking, including, of course, an absence of comment on the extent to which more cars seeking street parking affects neighbors and local business.
