After two nonfatal shootings this week, drop-in office-hour sessions are being offered so community members can meet with city leaders, ask questions and share concerns, said mayor Sumbul Siddiqui and acting police commissioner Pauline Wells.
These are the fifth and sixth gunfire incidents of the year.
The first shooting of the week took place at approximately 3:20 p.m. Tuesday on Rindge Avenue across from Comeau Field in North Cambridge, according to scanner reports. There will be a session nearby, in the community room of Fresh Pond Apartments, 362 Rindge Ave., North Cambridge, at 6 to 7:30 p.m. Monday.
The second shooting was at around 11:45 p.m. Wednesday in the Columbia Terrace area in The Port neighborhood. A drop-in session will be held in Bright Hall at St. Paul AME Church, 37 Bishop Allen Drive, The Port, officials said.
Information on the sessions is here.
